Nice sweet words Ant. Mad respect for making a negative review of a roast nameless, and using this idea to launch in to your chat on the quality of specialty coffee. Really engaging read.
I have naturally started avoiding a few of my old go-to roasters over the last year due to a decline in their specialty quality. The void left by the decline has been picked up beautifully by some new or small roasters.. El Descanso, and First Hand have filled my heart’s voids and rock my mind regularly.

Hi Matt - thanks for the comment. I didn't want to poo on the roaster - cos others might have loved this particular coffee (spoiler alert - they didnt, but still). Taste is so subjective that it's hard to be super critical right?
Im in the same boat, avoiding some of the 'big' roasters as they have turned their focus to different markets. Fair. But agree that the smaller roasters or less profile roasters like First Hand, El Descanso, Hammerstone, Chilled Out, Vangaurd and the like - killing it at the mo.
