Hi, how are you?

Welcome to The Magic Roast - a blog about coffee.

My name is Ant, and I live in the mighty Bay of Plenty with my amazing family.

My coffee education began with a sugar and cream filled drink from Starbucks at Trump Tower in NYC, and nurtured in the (former) home of New Zealand coffee, Wellington.

Since that first sip, I fell in love with coffee and had to share my love with the world.

What’s the kaupapa (the purpose)?

Sharing the stoke I feel about coffee, to anyone who’ll listen.

Coffee is great! It can be confusing, especially if you’re looking for something beyond the supermarket instant stuff.

But I’ll try and give you some easy ways to make great coffee wherever you are. I’ll buy the coffee toys and test them out, so you don’t have too. And I’ll drink terrible coffee, just to save your taste buds.

Why subscribe?

Cos you love coffee, right? Otherwise, why would you be here? Lurking? That’s fine, I guess. Bored and looking for something fun and new? Great! Spilt coffee on you and need something to mop it up? Probably out of luck - maybe buy a new shirt.
